Getting to R-Wild Horse Ranch
R-Wild Horse Ranch is located in the mountains of Northern California, approximately 40 miles west of Red Bluff on State Route 36. The ranch is about 3½ hours north of the San Francisco Bay Area, with Beegum and Platina being the closest communities.
R-Wild Horse Ranch is private property. Access is limited to owners and their invited guests. Please confirm any reservations or accommodations before beginning your trip.
Driving Directions
From the South
Take Interstate 5 north to Red Bluff and use Exit 650 for Adobe Road. Turn left and cross over the freeway, then continue to Main Street. Turn right and follow the signs for Highway 36 West. Continue west for approximately 36 miles until you reach the ranch’s main security gate.
From the North
Take Interstate 5 to the Bowman Road exit in Cottonwood. Follow Bowman Road west until it ends at Highway 36. Turn right onto Highway 36 West toward Platina and continue for approximately 18 miles. The ranch’s main security gate will be along Highway 36.
Please Plan Ahead
Fuel services are limited after leaving Interstate 5. We strongly recommend filling your tank before traveling west toward the ranch. The round trip between Interstate 5 and R-Wild Horse Ranch is approximately 75 miles.
When you arrive, please check in at the main security gate. Visitors who are not owners or invited guests will not be admitted.
